How Can You Help?

LRCE would like to extend our appreciation to all of our donors who support our programs. They enable us to further our mission and grow beyond our dreams here at LRCE.

Capital Campaign

Our success is built on the premise that everything we do must work toward the goal of improving student achievement. That success has demanded a larger space to meet the needs of this growing organization. The new building located at 5550 Florida Blvd., has allowed LRCE to grow existing services and expand into new areas.

The Career Academy

The compelling need in Baton Rouge and nationwide is to design strategies that make learning engaging and relevant to today’s students. The mission of The Career Academy is to apply rigor, relevance and relationships to prepare high school students for productive citizenship, satisfying careers in a dynamic economy and lifelong learning.

Opening in August 2011, The Career Academy will enroll 100 initial freshman and at full capacity will educate 400 full time students receiving academic and technical training, and 300 part time students who will attend The Career Academy for technical training only. The Career Academy will be responsive to the demands and innovations of a new dynamic and ever changing economy, while grounded in the belief that students who proceed directly from high school to the workforce or post-secondary training require skills and abilities identical to those required in college.
