The Louisiana Resource
Center for Educators was incorporated in 1987 as "Friends of the
Environment" with hopes of educating Louisianians on
environmental issues and science education. Over the past 20 years
it has grown to offer educators, parents, and businesses and
community leaders much more than we could have ever imagined.
The Louisiana Resource Center for Educators, a 501(c)3 not for
profit, educational service agency, was born March 1996. Its door
opened with 5,000 educational resource items available for teachers
to use in their classrooms. Today, LRCE operates with a $1.2 million
budget and offers multi-faceted programs and services for public,
private, parochial and charter school teachers, parents and
teacher-candidates. |
