The LRCE Library
Studies by the LSU Marketing Department document the average out-of-pocket expenditure per teacher is more than $400 per year for basic supplies. The library houses over 100,000 titles and provides resources to public, private, parochial and charter school teachers and home-school families. The library loans more than 150,000 items each year to teachers across the state. Our online catalog allows educators to have 24-hour access to the resources available in the library.
The online catalog allows educators to request items for delivery from the comfort of his or her home or school. Educational videos, books (fiction & nonfiction), manipulatives, and more are available for borrowing. Items are mailed to and from schools FREE of charge.
LRCE is an approved private provider for state teacher certification. College graduates and mid-career changers can work toward a teaching certificate while teaching in a school, earning full-time pay. Since 2003, LRCE has certified more than 1,600 PreK-12 teachers who are teaching in Louisiana public, private and parochial schools.
Reach for Success
Since 2013, LRCE’s Reach for Success summer program has provided a unique enrichment opportunity for students interested in improving their skills in all academic areas. Activities include math games, science labs, project-based learning, and fun weekly field trips and activities.
